🪙 PIVX Tip Bot Help

About

This bot doesn't hold or send funds. It simply shows you the recipient's address so you can send PIVX directly from your own wallet. It's design is meant to be extremely simple.

Features

Anti Features

• ☹️ Does not support true Shield Address validation, only checks that address starts with ps1 and is correct length
• ☹️ Does not know if the user actually funds the tip (this would require extensive development)

📝 Available Commands

• /tiphelp - Show this help message
• /tipaddress - Set, check, update, or delete your PIVX shielded address
• /tip @user - Send a PIVX tip to another user

NOTE: Type commands in any public channel - do not DM the bot

Recieving Tips

In order to recieve tips, you need to setup your shielded PIVX address. You only need to do this once. Type the following command in any public channel:

/tipaddress

A form will be presented where you can paste your shield address and submit it to the PIVX Tip Bot. You can also use the same command to check, change, or delete your address.

Sending Tips

There are 2 ways to send tips:

1. Use /tip @username command
2. Right click or long press message then navigate to Apps -> Tip User

In either case, a dialog will present itself where you can set:

• Tip Amount (PIVX) - optional, if omitted public message will display undisclosed amount
• Message - optional, let's you indicate why you tipped the user, for example "Great article, I really enjoyed it."

Notes

• Tips go directly into your PIVX wallet, there are no bot commands to check balance or withdraw.
• When someone tips you, check your PIVX wallet. If you do not receive the PIVX, allow a few minutes to sync, otherwise, contact the sender directly.
